Ushers serve as the welcoming heart and helping hands of our parish community. They are often the first friendly faces you see when arriving for Mass, offering a warm smile, a word of kindness, and a spirit of hospitality that reflects the love of Christ.
Members of this ministry aim to make everyone feel seen, valued, and at home in the house of God. Ushers assist parishioners with seating, distribute bulletins, and provide support for those who may need special assistance. Ushers also select families for the offertory gift presentation, guide the orderly flow of parishioners during Holy Communion, and respond calmly in case of sudden illness or emergency.
They also play a vital behind-the-scenes role in the liturgy, helping to maintain a peaceful and orderly environment throughout the celebration of the Mass. With attentiveness and care, they remain watchful and responsive, helping to ensure a safe, welcoming, and prayerful space for all who gather.
Ushers serve at all weekend Masses, Holy Days, and special parish liturgies, may be male or female, and are of high school age (age 14) or older.
No prior experience is necessary, and training will be provided. The average time commitment is once or twice a month and can be adjusted as needed.
