Our Prayer Shawl Ministry is part of a nationwide movement that began in 1998, bringing together the spiritual practice of prayer with the gifts of knitting and crocheting. Whether called prayer shawls, comfort shawls, peace shawls, or mantles, each handmade creation is crafted with prayer and offered as a tangible reminder of God's love, comfort, and presence.

The ministry creates and distributes prayer shawls for those who are sick, homebound, or facing serious illness. Members also support local winter hat drives, participate in regional prayer shawl gatherings, and provide shawls for those entering the Catholic Church through the OCIA process.

The group meets once a month, typically on Mondays from October through June. No experience is necessary, and the ministry can provide yarn, knitting needles, or crochet hooks for those who need them. Donations of supplies are always appreciated.
