Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God's mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church which they have wounded by their sins and which by charity, by example, and by prayer labors for their conversion.
Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1422Whether you are preparing to celebrate your First Reconciliation, helping your child prepare for this important step in the journey of faith, or seeking to renew your own relationship with God through the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we are honored to accompany you. In the Sacrament of Reconciliation, we encounter God's mercy, receive forgiveness for our sins, and are restored to full communion with Christ and His Church. If you've not yet received the Sacrament of Reconciliation, see the "Getting Started" section below.
Reconciliation is offered in the following ways throughout the year:
- Weekly: Saturdays at 4:00pm in the church. Both anonymous and face-to-face confessions are available. Please note, weekly confession is not held on Holy Saturday, and Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (if they fall on a Saturday).
- Seasonally: During Communal Penance Services held throughout the year (most typically Advent & Lent), with individual confessions typically available in both English and Spanish.
- By Appointment: Private appointments with one of our priests may be arranged at a mutually convenient time. Please contact the parish office to schedule.

From the earliest days of the Church, the Sacrament of Reconciliation has been a privileged encounter with the mercy of God. Through this sacrament, the faithful receive forgiveness for their sins, are reconciled with Christ and His Church, and are strengthened to live the Christian life with renewed grace. Parents who present their children to celebrate First Reconciliation, together with the children themselves, accept the responsibility of examining their lives regularly, seeking God's mercy with sincere hearts, and continuing to grow in holiness through ongoing conversion and faithful participation in the sacramental life of the Church.
First Reconciliation for children is ordinarily celebrated in the winter of the student's second-grade year as part of a two-year preparation process for reception of First Eucharist.

Adults and young adults who have passed the traditional age for First Reconciliation and have already been baptized in the Catholic Church may prepare to receive the sacrament through our adult formation process. Preparation is designed to deepen participants’ understanding of God’s mercy, help them examine their lives in the light of the Gospel, and prepare them to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation with sincerity, trust, and openness to God’s grace.
Adults preparing to receive additional sacraments through the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) ordinarily celebrate their First Reconciliation privately during the period of preparation leading up to the reception of their sacraments. This individual celebration provides an opportunity to experience God’s forgiveness and to enter more fully into sacramental life with a renewed heart.
