May the favor of the Lord, our God, rest upon us. And may the work of our hands prosper—indeed, may the work of our hands prosper.
Psalm 90:17
Established more than 65 years ago, the Altar & Rosary Society is dedicated to honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Society seeks her patronage and draws spiritual strength through the recitation of the Rosary at the beginning of each monthly meeting, carrying that spirit of prayer into its works of service.
Members support the liturgical life of St. Paul Parish by laundering and purchasing altar linens and vestments used during the celebration of Mass; sewing and preparing baby bibs for infant Baptisms; and visiting ill members with flowers, Mass cards, words of encouragement, and the offering of Masses for their intentions.
In addition, the Society shares Christmas and Easter remembrances with the parish and supports local charitable organizations through two annual bake sales held each March and December.
The Society meets on the first Monday of each month, except during July, August, and December. In addition to their commitment to prayer and service, members enjoy fellowship through an annual Christmas party, a yearly day of recollection, and a spring potluck supper. Whether you are looking to deepen your devotion to Our Blessed Mother or share your gifts in service to the parish, we welcome you to join us.
