Parish Religious Education Program

We are happy to welcome your family to our Parish Religious Education Program (PREP)! Our goal is to first instill a love of our Catholic faith into our children. God's love is offered to all and He provides for all of our needs. We are called to love all of God's creation through prayer, fellowship, and community.

We partner with parents, who are on their own faith journey. This journey changes and is unique to each individual. We therefore encourage all members of our parish to volunteer their time and prayers to this important ministry. As a community, we are preparing the next generation to become servant leaders.
 

Full Year PREP classes for children in grades K-8
 are offered September through May:

English
Sunday mornings 8:30am-9:45am

Spanish
Sunday 11:30am-12:45pm

2025 Summer Academy - Runs from June 23-27
 Begins with Mass, June 22 at 10am
One week, full day catechesis is offered for Grades 3-8.
All Children will be required to participate in Acts of Faith.

Children preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation will also be required to attend Mass and meetings during the academic year on the fourth Saturday of the month from 5:30pm Mass followed by 6:30-8:00pm meetings, in addition to other special events and retreats.

Summer Academy and VBS Registration will open end of February 2025

Acts of Faith
All children will be required to participate in Acts of Faith Passport.
Students from PREP, Summer Academy, and collaborating private schools              (SPS, Stuart and PASH) should have all received a passport for the 2024-2025    school year and should be activity participating in the passport events.
These events are intended to will help the students become involved in the   Eucharist, their Parish and faith community, as well as service to others.

Grades K through 7 will participate in 9 Acts of Faith events.
Those preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation will participate in 15.
Families are able to choose opportunities that work best for them.

Registration for the 2025-2026 year will be opening up this Spring.
 Early Bird Fee, before June 1, per child: $195
 Regular Fee, after June 1, per child: $235

• Students are required to attend all PREP classes in order to move on to the next level the following year.
• There is at least one family home study day during each month. On these days, families are still expected to attend Mass and complete the assigned home lesson, to be turned at the following meeting. 
• Snow days and weather emergencies will allow for the traditional days off. However, families should review the weekly lesson and assessment.  
• We will allow for three excused absences. In order to receive credit, students will be able to make up missed lessons. Lessons will be posted online.
