Families with Young Children

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd 
Children ages 4 and 5 are welcome to participate in the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, offered 3 times per month on Sunday at 9:45am. We will begin in October. More information will be posted here.

Children's Liturgy of the Word 
The 10:00am Mass on Sundays is the Children's Mass. Young families with little ones are most welcome and encouraged to sing! During the Liturgy of the Word, all children up to age 8 are welcome to join us in the Spiritual Center, directly below the Church. Children ages 4-8 are welcome to join us without a parent. Those with younger children are welcome to accompany them.

Exceptional Souls
Families with children with special needs are invited to partner with us as we plan family formation opportunities.

Parish Religious Education Program (PREP)
All Children in grades K-8 enrolled in non-Catholic schools are welcome to join PREP! Each year is a stepping stone to full initiation into the Catholic church. We therefore recommend beginning in K/1 and continuing yearly until Confirmation, in the spring of 8th grade. Teens are then encouraged to practice their faith by continuing with the St. Paul Youth (SPY) Group, becoming lectors, as well as many other opportunities. Sacramental Preparation
Children from all schools (Catholic or non-Catholic) preparing to receive a sacrament at St. Paul Parish are required to register with the parish in the year they expect to receive First Reconciliation/First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

Children enrolled at St. Paul School, are encouraged to participate in our Acts of Faith initiative. Click here for more information. SPS children will receive their sacraments of First Reconciliation, First Holy Communion, and Confirmation as a parish with Religious Education children. Be sure to register separately for the sacraments by clicking on the left.
